About

Not far from the Central Station, there stands a five-story building of a whimsical shape, somewhat reminiscent of a ship - this is the NEMO Science and Technology Center. Here, one can touch science not in earnest, but playfully! It hosts very interesting exhibitions and much more. What sets NEMO apart from other museums is that you can touch everything with your hands! After all, this is how you can get answers to the questions you are interested in and understand how modern technologies work. According to the founder's concept, all functionally important details are on display here: from steel structures to ventilation pipes! Finally, it's worth noting that the roof of the science center has a stepped design and can be accessed from the fourth floor. This spot is unique in Amsterdam, offering a view of the city on such a grand scale!

Great time at this museum with two young children. Lots to see and do. They loved the Kinectic energy chain so be sure not to miss that. From memory ran on the hour. Top floors more suitable for older children but lots to do on lower floors for younger ones.
