About

Amsterdam is home to an unusual attraction that's an "acquired taste." Even the wandering tourist will find it hard to be bored here. November 2015 marks four years since the opening of the Tattoo Museum. Here, one can see tattoos that were inked in prehistoric times with their own eyes. And, of course, there's no overlooking the modern art of tattooing. The total number of exhibits amounts to about forty thousand. The museum will fascinate both the tattoo professional and the enthusiast deciding on their first tattoo. Among the familiar tools are needles, machines, and sketches, but there are also quite odd and even frightening exhibits, such as a tattoo on human skin preserved in formaldehyde.
