About

The dream of any fashionista, avid traveler, connoisseur of contemporary art and fashion, in general, the dream of anyone who likes all sorts of unusual things - that's all about the Museum of Bags. Finding it is not difficult, it is indicated on many tourist maps, and if you get lost - passersby or a signpost will help you. Inside the small but cozy space, there are bags, wallets, and clutches from the 18th century to the present day. There are both vintage pieces and bags from famous fashion houses. On the upper floor of the building, there's a charming café, where it's nice to discuss the impressions of what you've seen.

For those of you who love fashion to get an idea about the historical evolution of the handbags. The museum is rather small (as most of the museums located on the canals), but the collection is splendid.

Read some sad news that the museum will stay closed after Covid19. Too bad since this is one of our favorite museums. The little one is finally big enough to understand that a purse contains things you might need on your journey. She has a hard time deciding what kind of purse she wants and we were planning a visit to this museum for some inspiration, after this pandemic. Lovely people of the Tasjes museum, stay safe and who knows, we might meet again one day. ❤
