El mejor sitio para celebrar una boda Totalmente recomendable

Esta reseña es sobre el valor histórico del edificio, no sobre otros usos del mismo. Se trata de uno de los mejores ejemplos de mansión burguesa de comienzos del siglo XX en España y tal vez en Europa. Concluido en 1911 según proyecto del influyente arquitecto Félix Navarro, fue encargado por el naviero Miguel Larrinaga para retirarse con su esposa Asunción Clavero (de ahí el nombre de Villa Asunción, por el que también se conoce). Sus dimensiones y decoración son imponentes, siendo autor de parte de la segunda el escultor Palao, cuya propia residencia en Paseo de Sagasta es así mismo un bello ejemplo de arquitectura modernista. En el palacio Larrinaga se usan profusamente los materiales propios de la burguesía industrial, como el vidrio o el acero. Tras el fallecimiento de Asunción Clavero, la finca se vendió en los años 40 a la empresa eléctrica GIESA, que estableció en ella las oficinas de su vecina factoría, de la que se puede contemplar la estructura pero que por desgracia corre un serio riesgo de desaparición.
