The 20th Anniversary tasting menu dinner was one of the best (if not THE best) restaurant meals I've ever enjoyed; I cleaned my plate every course, the service was excellent (attentive without being interruptive or obsequious, and just-right pacing throughout), at getting to watch the kitchen action from the chef's bar was a bonus. The head chef came out to meet me just before dessert, and I was at a loss for words when he asked what was my favorite course, because each was delicious and different from the others such that my mind was bouncing around what I liked from each... and couldn't choose a "best/favorite." Starte with two tasty amuse bouche: [1] Savory lentil broth with a roasted lentil papad on yhe side; [2] Sweet Potato Samosa (Crisp Phyllo pastry/ cranberry chutney); Then, the delicious courses: * Palak Chaat (Crispy baby spinach / sweet yogurt / tamarind / date chutney); * Honey Chili Scallop (a perfectly-cooked sea scallop w/ Burnt garlic-red pepper & Spiced honey); * Spicy Reshmi Kebab (grilled kebab formed of minced chicken, mint, coriander, & green chilies); * Black Cod (filet seasoned with fresh dill, honey, star anise, & red wine vinegar); * Vundaloo Berkshire Pork Chop (perfectly-grilled Berkshire pork chop marinated with peri-peri and served with a vindaloo sauce topped with crispy onion rings, and sides of Masala potato, Dal dhungaree [lentils in a spicy broth then smoked], saffron rice, and naan); and, a quad of mini-desserts: Apple Jalebi (Crispy beignet), Black rice pudding with toasted coconut, Date toffee pudding with blackberry & strawberry, and cardamom ice cream). Amazing meal!
