About

Since 1949, the estate of the great poet's son has been home to the Alexander Pushkin Literary Museum - a complex comprising living quarters, ponds, a family cemetery, and the Chapel of Saint Barbara. The museum boasts an extensive collection of manuscripts, books, photographs, and drawings related to the life and works of the playwright, as well as his descendants. Here, everyone can learn about the impact of Pushkin's works on Lithuanian culture, and also familiarize themselves with the first translations of his poems into the Lithuanian language. The 19th-century estate interior has completely preserved its majestic appearance, including the personal belongings of Grigory Alexandrovich Pushkin and his wife.

The museum is located a bit away from the central district, but spending a whole day exploring it, strolling through the picturesque park, and enjoying the ancient architecture is well worth it.
