About

Augarten Park is a wonderful leisure spot for both locals and tourists, characterized by neatly trimmed lawns, chestnut alleys, red squirrels, and gravel-strewn paths. It was established in the 18th century by order of Franz Joseph I. The emperor's heir called the park "a place of amusement for all people." Concerts featuring Mozart, Strauss, and Beethoven were regularly held in the palace complex located there. Since then, little has changed in the park's atmosphere, which continues to draw visitors.
