The Scuola Grande di San Rocco is considered one of the finest galleries in Europe. It is internally adorned with the amazing frescoes of Italian masters. The core of the exhibition is the canvas of the painter Tintoretto, depicting scenes from the Old Testament. There are a total of 69 compositions. The lower hall is decorated with canvases illustrating the life of Mary: "The Annunciation," "Mary Magdalene." The Scarpa's staircase is painted with pictures created in memory of the plague epidemic. The staircase leads directly to the Main Hall, where the canvases "The Temptation of Christ," "The Adoration of the Shepherds" draw attention. Under the paintings, there are allegorical carved figures by sculptor Francesco Pianta. The famous frescoes by Titian "Crucifixion" and "Ascension to Calvary" are located in the Albergo Hall. To allow visitors to better examine every detail of the magnificent paintings, magnifying glasses are handed out at the entrance.
