Kunsthistorisch bedeutend (Hauptwerk Ludwig Brunow, einziges historisches Reiterdenkmal Mecklenburgs) und seit 2024 Teil des UNESCO-Welterbes „Residenzensemble Schwerin“. Pflichtstopp bei jedem Schlossbesuch.
