Ten lew to nie tylko ozdoba – to średniowieczne „logo” miasta, które przypomina, kto tu kiedyś rządził. To symbol Henryka Lwa (Heinricha des Löwen), który był jednym z najpotężniejszych książąt Rzeszy w XII wieku.

Das zu Ehren des Stadtgründers von Schwerin, Heinrich des Löwen, 1995 errichtete Denkmal ziert - ähnlich dem Löwen von San Marco in Venedig - einen zentralen Platz der Stadt. 👍 Wenn man sich die vier an der Säule angebrachten Relieftafeln näher ansieht, kann man einige interessante, unerwartete und vielleicht auch überraschende Details aus dem Leben Heinrichs erkennen. 👍😉
