Via Veneto is one of the best Italian restaurants in SF to enjoy authentic dishes and experience the atmosphere. I've never been disappointed with the menu items I tried: a flavourful minestrone soup, clam chowder, or gorgeous Cacciucco Adriatico, tender involtini, mozzarella caprese. Even more charming are the entrées: salmon piccata, petrale sole, pasta with crabs, or lobster ravioli, signature rack of lamb, huge ribeye steak, etc. All dishes are always cooked to perfection. Don't forget to leave some space to accommodate desserts: splendid tiramisu, mango panna cotta, orange pancakes, pera arlecchina. The Italian vibe of the place is very attractive, Massimo is a very hospitable host and I always feel at home there. If you love Italian cuisine and are not in a hurry, consider the Via Veneto restaurant in the Pacific Heights.
