best udon and fresh tempura

We stopped by on the way back from Pacifica and we were in need of some warm soup! I love udon so I wanted to give this place a try, and it looked really cute. We were able to get seated fairly quickly, and we ordered at the counter; water is self-serve. Our food didn’t take too long to arrive. Udon was a little too soft and the kakiage and shrimp could’ve been crispier, but the dashi warmed my freezing hands (SF moment). The sesame broth was rich without feeling coma-inducing. Also the cashier was super nice and she gave me a Kitkat! Parking isn’t metered, which is nice!
