Wandered in after looking at the menu in the window while wandering Chinatown, and passed so many of my personal vibe checks for a Chinese spot The timing being the employee mealtime and hearing them yapping, the speed of ordering the moment they caught I spoke Mandarin, instantly serving tea, all the worn dishes and utensils It's a shop that's strongly of the "been around" vibe, and gods... the flavors, Ratatouille moment feels (haven't had a good Hunan place in quite a bit) On yeah, and of course, the prices (by SF standards of course) Def is one of the spots on my SF wanders map now

This was better hunan cuisine than any we've had in Shenzhen or Hong Kong. The 麻辣魚塊 was amazing. Other dishes we had were excellent too. We went there a second time on a Saturday at 11 am, when they are supposed to be open according to Google Maps hours and the schedule on their web site. They were not open. Later I called them and was told that they are open at 12 pm on Sat and Sun. This info is not posted on the door or online.
