サンフランシスコ最後の夕飯はお寿司と決めていました。おいしい寿司屋はどこかと尋ねたら、こちらのお店だと教えられて伺いました。ダウンタウンの中心からは、急行バスでも30分ほどかかりました。ミッションストリート・シルバーのバス停からは、歩いて2分です。店の中は、あまり飾らない日本の食堂のような内装です。もちろん清潔な空間です。はじめにサッポロビールの小瓶、おまかせ2人前、カリフォルニアロールを注文しました。おまかせは日本で言う店おまかせの上寿司の盛り合わせです。ネタが大きくご飯は少なめの美しい見た目です。しかもネタが新鮮で、マグロ、エビ、サーモンなどは下手をすると、日本の寿司屋よりも美味しいですね。日本の豊洲市場からも仕入れているようです。回転寿司と比較したら、天と地の差です。もちろん回転寿司とは値段もはるかに違いますが。こちらのお店のカリフォルニアロールは、エビの天ぷらをアボガドなどとともに巻いたお寿司でした。カリフォルニアが発祥の寿司ですが、とにかくボリュームがあります。美味しくてたべていたら、こちらでお腹がいっぱいになりました。家族はこの後、マグロとウニといくらを頼みました。どちらもやばい味でした。マグロは新鮮で、赤身の美味しいネタでした。ウニは日本産より味は薄味ですが、とにかく新鮮で、しかも生臭さがまったくなくて美味しかったです！そして最後に頼んだエビと、トロがやばかったです。トロは完全に大トロで、脂が口の中でとろけました。トロは危険なほど美味しかったです。世界中から食材を集めて、サンフランシスコの人たちは、日本で食べるのと同じか、それ以上のものを食べていることに、少し衝撃を得てホテルに戻りました。サンフランシスコを訪れる機会があれば是非行ってみてください。

This is a quaint little sushi restaurant with super friendly staff and really good food. This is the first time that I ever had raw seafood and I was worried that I wouldn't like it. However, I was greatly surprised and it was delicious. My only negative was that the Wasabi was too mild.
