This boutique museum overlooking the Bay has an impressive collection of diverse original prints and gels from the beginning of modern print comics (late 1800s) to today. Budget an hour for the museum (at most) and stay to read/drool in the large reading room. Great gift shop plus places to draw. Check the website for workshops too!

A fun way to spend 40 minutes to an hour, the ticket is 10$ however it’s practically free because you get these awesome humor times newspapers for free and a gift for completing the batman treasure hunt! It’s a good documentation of the evolution of the funnies throughout the years, it was fun seeing them evolve from very simple jokes then into satire then sarcasm then tongue-in-cheek. There is also a free read room and a theater room with a screen showing old WB cartoons, this room is the coolest in my opinion because it has some frames from my childhood classics. Lastly, do the Batman treasure hunt, it takes 15 minutes and if you are a fan, take some photos! Pop in if you are close to the pier or Ghirardelli square

Just visited today and this was really cool and priced very reasonably. My son loved it and said it was his favorite thing in San Francisco! Sunday comic art was very interesting, the reading room was cool, and overall would recommend.
