About

The California Academy of Sciences, a striking creation by architect Renzo Piano, stands proudly within San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. This multifaceted museum entices guests with its diverse exhibits, which range from the vibrant life of a rainforest and the underwater wonders of an aquarium to the charm of penguin feedings and the thrill of an earthquake simulation. Both adults and children find plenty to explore, with engaging activities like planetarium shows and the tranquil Living Roof garden adding to its allure.

Beyond daytime adventures, select Thursday evenings transform the venue into an adult-friendly cultural hub, featuring music and cocktails. Despite food court renovations, visitors can still enjoy a variety of culinary delights from available cafes. The staff makes each visit memorable with their warmth and insightful guidance, ensuring a rewarding experience. With its perfect blend of education and entertainment, the Academy promises more than three hours of discovery, making it a celebrated gem in San Francisco's vibrant cultural landscape.

Just amazing place where you can hang out for entire day, with kids or only adults. Love the aquarium, the forest tower, the living roof and the other exhibits. Can get crowded during weekends.

Good for families and wonderful exhibits. I actually bought the 9 day city pass. It seemed more cost efficient. I enjoyed the rainforest and aquarium exhibits the most. Great way to learn, walk, and reflect on the beauty of our world.
