Just love this place. I can get lost in the Rodin rooms for an hour easily. Really recommend going for the organ concerts 4pm Saturday.

Really cute museum that is free for Bay Area residents. The grounds are gorgeous, and overlook the water. You can even see the Golden Gate Bridge. Theres plenty of clean bathrooms here as well, and I would say it’s a great place for a museum date. There are a lot of works by Rodin, and the museum has two gift shops, one near the exit and one on the bottom floor. When i went, it was during the Wanye Thiebaud exhibition, which has its own merch. You can reserve a time slot for entry online in advance, although there wasnt much of a line when we went on a Saturday at 1ish

The Legion of Honor is not only a stunning art museum, but one of the most popular locations in San Francisco for photography (i.e., engagements & graduations). As a local photographer, I love the elegant architecture and soft neutral tones to create a timeless backdrop. There's a perfect balance of nature and structure here; while inside the courtyard is stunning (keep in mind the courtyard gates close at 5:15pm), the lawn and rotunda with views of the Golden Gate bridge are just steps away. This location is perfect for couples planning an intimate engagement session with a classic and elevated feel. I always look forward to documenting our sessions here! ShawnaGDPhotography
