Rotterdam

Start your stroll through Ghent at the innovative Central Station building. The sharp angle of the station's roof directs tourists towards the Museum Park in Rotterdam. The bowl-shaped building with mirror panels is the Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen, a public museum with over 150,000 exhibits. Nearby are the Natural History Museum, an art gallery, and the Nieuwe Instituut (architecture and design). Take a break in the Schoonoord Park or the adjacent Het Park.

Near the ferry dock by the Erasmus Bridge, you can see the famous Euromast tower. A rotating elevator takes tourists up to a height of 185 meters. One of the best views of the city at night is from the opposite bank of the river, on the modern Katendrecht promenade.

In the Old Harbor, visit the Maritime Museum. It's easy to reach the Delfshaven pier by historic tram; here, you can experience the atmosphere of a 19th-century port city. Appreciate the futuristic Markthal project (opened in 2014): above the vast market space is a horseshoe-shaped residential complex. The interior façade features a giant fresco known as the "Horn of Plenty." Another architectural landmark in Rotterdam is the Cube Houses, easily accessible by metro. Include a ferry or boat trip, and a port tour in your visit itinerary.
