Old Town Bridge Tower in Prague
About
The Old Town Bridge Tower is famed as the most beautiful structure of its kind in Europe. It was founded simultaneously with the foundation of Charles Bridge, which is located on the side of the Old Town. The designer of these constructions was the German P. Parler.
From the very first day of its existence, the tower was considered not only a defensive bastion of Prague but also a certain place of intimidation. This is because, up until the 18th century, the heads of recently executed rebels and criminals were displayed here.
Today, the Old Town Bridge Tower also combines two functions - that of an ancient architectural monument and a viewing platform for tourists.

Charles Bridge in Prague is a must-visit landmark, beautifully showcased on maps for its prime location spanning the Vltava River between the Old Town and Lesser Town (Malá Strana). Maps highlight its pedestrian-only access, making it easy for visitors to stroll across while admiring the 30 Baroque statues and stunning views of Prague Castle. Key points like the Old Town Bridge Tower and the Lesser Town Bridge Towers are often marked, along with nearby attractions such as Kampa Island and the Lennon Wall. Maps also indicate tram and metro stops (like Staroměstská and Malostranská) for convenient access. Whether exploring historic sites or capturing picturesque sunsets, Charles Bridge’s central position on maps ensures travelers won’t miss this iconic 14th-century gem.

Una vez que logras subir a las torres, la vista es muy bonita. Los principales problemas somos nosotros los turistas (dependiendo de la hora es probable que no haya tanta gente) y la cantidad de escalones que tienes que subir.

Красиво, мощно, исторично!
