**Update after restaurant response** I appreciate you taking the time to respond, but I must clarify a few points. We were not offered any replacement for the sushi — instead, when we expressed our concerns, they were dismissed outright and we were gaslit. As for the wine, we ordered glasses, not a full bottle. We were told it was being left because it was “easier” for staff, not for our comfort — that’s not the same thing. We accepted it because we didn’t want to make a scene, not because it was our preference. It’s disappointing to see a customer’s honest review met with deflection and blame. I shared this feedback in good faith, based on our actual experience, and hoped it might be taken as an opportunity to improve — not spin the situation to discredit us. **Original response** We ordered the 25-piece sushi set, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, the wait for our food was unusually long. When the sushi finally arrived, it did not taste fresh—after just two pieces, we couldn't continue eating. I've had enough sushi in my life to know... We brought this up politely with the staff (we are never the type to do this, but it was that bad...), who insisted the sushi was fresh and completely disregarded our concerns. Regardless, we were still charged the full amount, which felt unreasonable given the quality. Additionally, we had requested glasses of wine, but they put the full bottle on our table because it was “easier” for the staff. This felt uncomfortable, but we went along with it. After all this, the final bill came as a shock. We left feeling disappointed, overcharged, and unlikely to return.
