Porto óvárosa 1996 óta az UNESCO Világörökség része. A déli domboldalon lévő Ribeira a város leglátogatottabb része. Színes, egymásra épített házak, üzletek, éttermek, bárok vonzák a tekintetet. A folyó partján haladva kedvünk támadt leülni és nézni a kikötőt, a kétszintes Luis I hidat, az embereket. Ez is kellemes időtöltés és ezen a hídon átsétálva a másik oldalra, egy borospince meglátogatása is remek program.
