A great experience! We went to this seafood restaurant in Porto (nearby Sao Bento train station) because we love seafood and wanted to try a new place. The atmosphere is very welcoming and soft, everything tends to pamper you, from the lights to the background music. We were asked to sit in a corner close to the window, perfect for a romantic dinner. We had 3 starters: olive patè, olive oil and butter followed by fresh oysters and at the end a chevice with coconut. All was very refreshing and with great simple flavors. We took one main dish: tuna and sweet potatoes and it was delicious. We ended up with almond tart and fig ice cream. Recommended

If you are in Porto, you must go to Escama. The food is amazing and the staff is really nice! My girlfriend and I have been at Escama twice. Amazing!

Modern take on traditional dishes, but almost too modern at times. The atmosphere was good but overall it was overpriced. The crab tacos were recommended but the preparation completely masked the taste of the crab. The shrimps were butterflied in their shell making it difficult to de-shell. The fish with sea rice was the best
