As a certified noodle enthusiast (and by certified I mean I’ve watched way too much anime), I had to try Buga Ramen. I went straight for the spicy karaage ramen, because if my mouth isn’t slightly on fire, what’s even the point? The broth was deep, rich, and clearly made by someone who knows the ancient ramen arts. The noodles had that perfect chewy bounce, like they’d just come out of a shōnen training montage. The karaage chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and basically the Goku of fried chicken. Spice level? Enough to make me feel powerful but not so much that I had to duel my waiter for a glass of milk. If ramen were an RPG, Buga would be an S-tier spot in Porto. You don’t just eat here, you level up.
