We ordered the 6 course set and two canapés. We were also offered sourdough bread with salted butter.
All the food except the pigeon and chocolate dessert was overly salty. I have good tolerance for salt, but even I had unpleasant coating of salt and glutamate on my tongue by the end of it. My partner could eat barely a bite of anything. I was finishing most of her portions. She was surviving by flushing her throat with table water. Thank god for free water refills!
No, I would not recommend this dining to anyone who doesn't take well to salty food or has to watch for their blood pressure. The sad thing is, in my opinion, if the chef eased up with salt in all these recipes, the food would be perfectly tasty and pleasant. Maybe your recipes are outdated and need refresh to align with modern world?
Another disappointing experience was that we were sat right next to kitchen and were experiencing random smells from the kitchen throughout the night - why not invest in proper ventilation hoods in your kitchen facilities?
There was no music in the restaurant, not even background tune from radio.
The service staff were great and my partner was very impressed with their coordination and attentiveness.
