Vendôme Square is one of the few attractions in Paris that you're unlikely to stumble upon by accident. Lost among countless streets and buildings, it remains as secretive as a true lady, never revealing itself at random but making you search for it amid hundreds of others. Created as an addition to a monument, it has long outlived its original purpose and has become a legend in its own right. The cobblestones of the square have been trodden by the likes of the Sun King, Napoleon, Madame de Pompadour, Hemingway, and many other illustrious figures. Nearly every building on Vendôme Square holds within its walls a multitude of memories about great events and people.
