About

The Rodin Museum has long been solidly on the list of the most popular and visited cultural institutions in Paris. In terms of significance for the French, it is only second to the Orsay and the Louvre. Its attractiveness is owed not only to its extensive collection of sculptures and paintings but also to its architecture. The magnificent mansion was built in the 17th century in the Rococo style. In 1908, the famous French sculptor Auguste Rodin became the owner of the house. After living there for eight years, he proposed a deal to the city authorities - he would leave his entire collection of sculptures and the paintings he had acquired by Van Gogh and Renoir, in exchange for his mansion being granted the status of the Rodin Museum. Two years after the reconstruction, the building opened its doors to tourists and has since delighted with its beautiful exhibition.

Emocionante chegar e, já no jardim, ver obras imperiosas do artista. Visita indispensável para amantes de arte esculpida. É mesmo impressionante! Tempo estimado para conclusão da visita:2h30'.
