Arc de Triomphe in Paris
About
The largest triumphal arch in the world is located in the French capital at Place de l'Étoile. Its creator was J.F. Chalgrin. This monument is another iconic symbol of Paris, just like the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Eiffel Tower.
According to Napoleon's concept, the arch was intended to symbolize not so much Paris itself, but rather the strength of the imperial power and the army. Its construction took about 30 years. It was this structure that "escorted" the commander on his last journey to the Les Invalides.
In the first half of the 1900s, the Eternal Flame was solemnly lit under the Arc de Triomphe in honor of the unknown soldier who died during World War I.

Reviews and Ratings

The best views of the city. Get here around 2120 to climb to the top for the 2200 sparkle of the eiffel tower.
