Discriminatory service based on customers appearance. When we came in as a group, the restaurant was half-empty. The waiter offered us the worst seats. However, a formally dressed couple were offered comfortable seats. We were clearly judged by how they looked. When we asked if we could sit elsewhere, the waiter said those tables were kinda “reserved” but wouldn’t say when or for whom. Extremely disappointing experience. We left right away. Won’t be returning, unacceptable service

I don't usually waste time commenting, but I have to make an exception here because I've never encountered such behavior from restaurant employees. I do not recommend Palmtreeclub to anyone looking for a pleasant and safe atmosphere, especially if you need a gluten-free meal or have a family member with diabetes. Upon arrival, all the tables were occupied – none marked as reserved – and yet for a good 15 minutes not a single staff member came to seat us or even inform us about the situation. Two servers (a slim, tattooed German woman and a short man with a bit of excess weight and a disco-style haircut from the 1980s) ignored our presence, and my son was repeatedly shoved and stepped on without a word, as if to make him “get out of the way,” treating us more like intruders than restaurant guests and customers. When a table finally became available, the waitress, while passing us, announced that it was “reserved” – despite the lack of any sign or note. Shortly afterward, a group of two German-speaking people, who had been standing behind us in line, were seated at that very four-person table. When we continued waiting – while our daughter’s blood sugar was dropping and she was feeling unwell – the waitress pushed two tables together for three other German-speaking guests from the line, ignoring us and others who were communicating in English. The culmination was the aggression of the waiter toward my son: repeated shoving, pushing him in the middle of the dining area, and threatening to call the police when my son – only trying to maintain some distance – said, “please, don’t touch me.” Our request for help for our sick daughter and the urgent need to provide her with an appropriate meal was also ignored. After leaving, we were joined by a group of equally shocked people from the line, who emphasized the rudeness of the staff. We had a much better experience at the Fan Restaurant across the street, recommended by those people – wonderful service, a fantastic atmosphere, and delicious Sichuan-style gluten-free breakfast, with several gluten-free options on the menu. In the end, we lost about 50 minutes at Palmtreeclub feeling as if we had just encountered Nazis, but we ended up enjoying breakfast with a larger group in a far better place, in a pleasant and calm atmosphere, while making new acquaintances. Palmtreeclub is one of the worst places I have ever seen, not only in Germany but in my entire life. Having visited hundreds of restaurants in various countries, I have never experienced such rudeness, lack of respect, arrogance, and aggression. If you value respect, the safety of your children, and quality service, avoid this place at all costs.
