Perhaps we caught it on an off-day, but I wanted to share some constructive feedback. I was really looking forward to the roast here based on the glowing reviews, and at £30 a plate, I was expecting a high standard. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite meet those expectations. The roast potatoes were dry and overcooked, the green veg was stringy and underdone, and the beef was quite chewy and a surprisingly small portion. The horseradish lacked any noticeable flavour, the gravy was minimal, and the carrots were overly soft and a little bland. On the positive side, the service was excellent and the atmosphere warm and welcoming — both of which we really appreciated. That said, the quality of the roast felt underwhelming for the price, especially given how strong the competition is locally. I had a pretty flat Guinness with no head indicating a bad pour. I probably wouldn't return.

The team, the food, the wine tastings to help you pick your next order - what a place. Thanks for a great evening

What a lovely little gem! Took my grandma here for her 94th (!) birthday and she had a great time 🤩 All the staff were great but Mia especially looked after us, what a charmer!🥰
