Coffee is always consistent and a reliable place for locals, however - best to avoid on a busier day due to waiting times. Most staff are friendly and knowledgeable aside from one gent, who is consistently rude and should really not be customer facing. Given the premium prices you pay, you’d expect a certain level of politeness from all staff members. Whenever I see him at the till, I refrain from stopping by.

Yes … this is definitely an early in the month treat! Don’t expect cheap coffee & cake here, but do expect some of the finest baked goodies & the best Cortado (in my experience anywhere in the world)! On the less positive side, the bench seating is not comfortable & definitely discourages lengthy stays. Aug 2025 - Back again & can confirm this is still the best coffee you’ll find anywhere but the reason it’s been so long is that the seating & seat layout is not just uncomfortable but genuinely detracts from the usual joyful experience of great coffee & company, such a pity.
