Winchester Palace located near the Thames River was once a 12th-century bishop's palace that served as the London townhouse of the Bishops of Winchester. It is now in ruins though preserved. Worth seeing as you cross the path to other historical sites.

Well maintained ruins of Winchester palace. You can see the remains of the basement, some arches and a big grand window. There are some really informative display panels and an artists impression of what it would have looked like. Nice to stop and take a quiet look whilst walking along the south bank.
