This place is all over my instagram feed so I had to try it - I had the Caesar salad option but it had a Louisiana style hot sauce twist: £9.50 but a decent size. It was a great sarnie but I can’t justify the price to be honest 🤷‍♀️ the iced latte was tasty but I should have opted for an extra shot to give it a caffeine kick.

I stopped by Derek’s Coffee on a Monday morning before heading to Liverpool Cathedral, and it turned out to be such a great find. The shop itself was clean, bright, and welcoming, with an atmosphere that immediately put me in a good mood. I ordered the truffle & Parmesan tater tots, honey chicken fries, and an iced oat milk latte. The honey chicken fries were the absolute star—perfectly balanced with sweetness, savory flavor, and just a little spicy kick. Truly unique, and I’d come back again and again just for that. The truffle tater tots were also delicious—crispy to the core with a generous truffle aroma that made them irresistible. The coffee was fresh, rich, and smooth, exactly what I needed to start my day. On top of all that, the staff were extremely kind and friendly, making the whole experience even better. Whether you’re looking for a quick breakfast, a casual hangout, or a place to recharge in the morning, I’d definitely recommend Derek’s Coffee.
