Liverpool

Get acquainted with the port city by starting at the promenade. Look up at the roof of the Royal Liver Building, where two birds are chained. According to legend, if they fly away, the city will perish. Nearby, you'll find a monument to the engineers who died on the Titanic, interactive exhibits at the British Music Museum, and a statue of the Beatles. Further along are several museums - Liverpool Museum, the International Slavery Museum, the Maritime Museum, the UNESCO World Heritage Site Albert Dock, the RIBA North cultural center, the Tate art gallery, and The Beatles Story museum. Complete your stroll along the waterfront with a river cruise from the Pier Head Ferry Terminal and a view of the city from the cabin of the Ferris wheel.

In the city center, admire the scale of the Gothic Cathedral. The oldest building in the city, Bluecoat, hosts exhibitions and festivals. Make sure to book tickets in advance for a performance at the Shakespeare North Playhouse or Empire Theatre. Feel the city's vibrant rhythm through football matches, nightclubs, art centers, festivals, and biennales.

For shopping and entertainment, head to the Liverpool ONE shopping center and Bold Street. Kids will enjoy the Eureka Science and Discovery center. For outdoor relaxation, we recommend Sefton Park with its caves, waterfalls, and conservatory. Panoramic views of Liverpool can be seen from the height of the Radio City tower.
