About

Just a stone's throw from Liverpool's main transport links, the World Museum offers an engaging journey through history and nature. Rated among the top 5 museums in the UK, it spans a variety of fascinating exhibits, from ancient Egypt to under-the-sea wonders in its aquarium. A planetarium show provides a cosmic experience for an additional fee. The museum's child-friendly environment, complete with a glass roof and bridge, makes it an ideal family outing. Despite some critiques on dated displays and the cost of special exhibitions, the free entry and the friendly staff ensure a pleasant visit for all. Perfect for a brisk 1 to 2-hour exploration, it's a blend of education and entertainment right in the heart of Liverpool.

Brilliant museum with so much to see! From dinosaurs and Ancient Egypt to the aquarium, bug house and planetarium, there’s something for everyone. Staff were lovely, the place is free to enter, and we could have spent all day exploring. Highly recommend a visit! If I was asked on one thing they could improve on, I would say air-conditioning, it was really hot and stuffy, but there was mini AC machines set up around the exhibitions

It was a pleasant and rewarding experience at this world museum, my children loved it. Admission is totally free, there’s lots of attractions here in the city of Liverpool.
