Food beautiful. Menu simple. I find when there is less choice on the menu the food improves, and they didn't disappoint. The flavours were divine in all dishes. Portions were nice sizes. Will have to definitely return.

We decided to try the cowshed after a long day of helping family move student accommodation, we called over about 8 o'clock without a booking, despite them being very busy they made sure to fit us in and we are all glad they did, the food was amazing and the staff were really friendly and attentive, me and my stepson opted for the greedy cow between us where we got to try good portions of 3 different steaks, each one cooked to perfection, the other 2 opted for the flat iron steak, and the rump, every plate was cleared and we then finished off with a delicious dessert, couldn't recommend this place higher, will be back next time we are over in Liverpool

Small place but food that punches well above the belt line. Staff excellent and a good selection of drinks to be paired.
