This plaza delights visitors with its striking wavy cobblestone pattern, which beautifully complements the two grand baroque fountains. Popularly known as Rossio is a square in the downtown Lisbon. It has been one of its main squares since the Middle Ages. It has been the setting of popular revolts and celebrations, bullfights and executions, and is now a preferred meeting place of Lisbon natives and tourists alike. Very busy with tourists and locals. The Column of Pedro IV is in the middle of the square. There are 2 large fountains too. The floor tile design is mesmerising and unique. Around the square are several shops, cafes and restaurants. Free entry. Good wheelchair access. Toilets nearby. Great place for photography

One of the historically famous and important plaza/squares in Lisboa. Almost heart and center i would say. There are two fountains and white column with a statue on top in the middle of the fountains. Ocean-like wavy mosaic floor is a signature symbol of this plaza, and it’s beautiful!! It’s used a lot as a meeting place. Majority of the walking tours start here, so you can see a lot of tourists in this area.
