Restos de la Puerta de la Moneda en la cerca medieval del s. XIV, cuyo esquema está dibujado en el suelo, en León. La entrada Este de la ciudad, la entrada de peregrinos. En los alrededores los cambistas de moneda (judíos, cristianos nuevos) ejercían su lucrativo negocio (prohibido moralmente al noble hidalgo, al cristiano viejo); fuera estaba la judería. El entorno no es ajeno a la especulación urbanística disfrazada de 'saneamiento' de antiguas casas y solares, un desgraciado destino.
