Yeni Cami Külliyesi’nin bir parçası olan Hünkâr Kasrı, Tarihi Yarımada’da bulunmaktadır. Klasik Osmanlı Mimarisi’nin en önemli eserlerinden biri olan Yeni Camii Hünkâr Kasrı’nın içinde 17. yüzyıla ait nadide çiniler, sedefkârî, tunç alçı ve edirnekarî örnekleri bulunur. Kasrın giriş kapısındaki ağaç işçiliği, içerideki çinili ocaklar, duvarları kaplayan çinili panolar, renkli cam pencereler nadide işçilik örnekleri olarak kabul edilir. Çinilerin bir kısmı ise sadece kasrı süslemek için özel olarak yaptırılmıştır.

Eminönü’nde Mısır Çarşısı’nın karşısında yer alan Yeni Valide Camii Külliyesi, Osmanlı tarihi boyunca yapımı en uzun süren külliyedir. İnşasına III. Murat’ın eşi Safiye Sultan adına 1589’da başlandı. Bir süre yapımı durduktan sonra IV. Mehmet’in annesi Valide Turhan Sultan’ın emriyle 1663’te tamamlandı. Külliyenin en göz alıcı manzarasına sahip olan Hünkâr Kasrı caminin bitişiğinde yer alır. Denize bakan biri kubbeli iki büyük oda, bir eyvan ve bir heladan oluşan yapı, sultanın camiye geçişini sağlayan uzun bir koridorla hünkâr mahfiline bağlanır. 17. yüzyıla ait nadir sedefkâri, tunç alçı ve kündekâri süsleme örneklerini barındıran Hünkâr Kasrı, İznik’te üretilmiş ve eşine hiçbir yerde rastlanamayacak türden bir desen düzenlemesine sahip çinileriyle dikkati çeker. Yapı 2004’te Koruma Kurulu, Vakıflar Bölge Müdürlüğü ve İstanbul Ticaret Odası’nın ortaklaşa yürüttüğü proje kapsamında 50 uzman tarafından restore edilmiştir
