Das Canton ist in Osdorf einer der besten Plätze für gutes Essen. Dort wird leckeres chinesisches Essen gekocht. Das Ambiente ist besonders autentisch. Die Bedienung ist zuvorkommend und sehr sympatisch. Wir sind immer gerne dort.

Die Atmosphäre ist "Alter Landgasthof", das Haus legt das aber auch nah. Die Einrichtung etwas zu modernisieren, hellere, stärkere Farben, das wäre eine gute Idee, denn es kommt ja wenig Tageslicht ins Innere. Am Essen kann ich nicht mäkeln, Fisch mit leicht scharfer Chilisauce hat sehr gut geschmeckt, die Panade war vielleicht ein bisschen blass, hätte für mich gern goldbraun sein dürfen statt hellblond. Aber die Sauce dazu war hervorragend, dabei wahrscheinlich gar nicht besonders raffiniert, aber sehr ausgewogen. Ich probierte auch eine andere Sauce mit Mu-Err-Pilzen, auch sehr lecker. Die älteren Rezensionen von vor 4 oder 5 Jahren stimmen wahrscheinlich nicht mehr. Die Bedienung war nett und freundlich, es gab einen Pflaumenwein als Apéretif, Wärmplatten für die Speisen, der Grüntee war gut, die Gruppe war zufrieden. Aber für einen vierten oder gar fünften Stern müssten sich die Inhaber doch etwas mehr einfallen lassen, was das Ambiente und die Speisen-Auswahl angeht.
