Graz

To see the panorama of one of Austria's most beautiful cities, head to Schlossberg Castle. The former Habsburg residence is now a lovely park with a concert venue and a museum. The Cistern, Bell Tower, and Clock Tower are still preserved. It's convenient to reach the hilltop by elevator, cable car, funicular, secret tunnels, or stairs. For the descent, there's the world's tallest underground slide, measuring 175 meters.

Have a photo session on the glass island-bridge Murinsel and explore the streets of the Old Town. Stroll along the main shopping street Herrengasse. Relax at a café in Hauptplatz near the town hall. Visit the Cathedral, check out the interior of Emperor Ferdinand II's mausoleum, and the Renaissance-style courtyards of the Landhaus complex. In Graz Castle, find the tower with the double spiral staircase. Discover Glockenspielplatz to see the bell tower with moving figures and clock.

Wander through the exhibition halls of the contemporary art gallery. From November to March, tours are available at the Landeszeughaus – the world's largest weapon collection (30,000 exhibits). Appreciate the grandeur and magnificent décor of Eggenberg Palace: baroque style, 24 state rooms, 365 windows, 500 frescoes.
