Історичний музей Франкфурта, сумісний із дитячим франкфуртським музеєм, розташований у старому місті на набережній Майну. Він був заснований у 1878 році. Будівлю було змінено на нову (остаточно у 2017 році), але це не змінило концепції закладу. Музей пропонує цікаві експозиції, в тому числі історичні, предмети культури та мистецтва. Майже у кожній залі музею можна взяти інформаційну листівку стосовно наповнення зали. Для дітей в залах з експозиціями є невеликі інтерактивні дитячі куточки (пазли, кубики, головоломки). Великий простір для гардеробу, просторо, надійні шафки схову для речей. Музей також входить до програми, що дозволяє безкоштовне відвідання кожну останню суботу місяця.

Ein schönes Museum bei dem man merkt dass viel Arbeit und Liebe drin steckt. Ich verstehe das Konzept der Ordnung nach Themen, fand es aber etwas unübersichtlich und verwirrend. Ansonsten wirklich schön und sehr günstig.
