Nestled in the heart of Florence, the Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore stands as a stunning testament to Gothic and Renaissance architecture. Designed by renowned architects Filippo Brunelleschi, Arnolfo di Cambio, Francesco Talenti, and Emilio De Fabris, this magnificent cathedral has been a focal point of the city since its construction began on 8 September 1296 and its grand opening on 25 March 1436. Known for being one of the largest churches in Christianity, its exterior boasts breathtaking details, while the interior has a more subdued elegance.
Visitors can take advantage of the Brunelleschi pass, which offers an all-inclusive experience including a climb up the tower's 463 steps, a visit to the Duomo museum, and the bell tower. Note that the narrow staircases and spiral steps can be tricky, but there are spots to rest along the way. For the best experience, arrive early to beat the crowds and the heat.
It's worth noting the long queues for entry, so reservations or the Giotto pass are highly recommended to skip the lines. Students can also enjoy discounts with the pass. While the climb might be challenging, the panoramic views of Florence from the top make it well worth the effort and cost. Suitable for children, this historic site is a must-see attraction in Florence with an impressive average Google rating of 4.8.

Lugar bonito
