A lovely pub with great decor and well thought out rooms. The food was very nice and attentive staff. We stayed for one night on route to Cornwall and it was very convenient, closely connected to the motorway but once you are at the pub/village you wouldn’t have known it was only a few minutes away. A good location to take the dog and kids for a nice stroll through the churchyard and adjoining fields.

We stopped in for an early lunch. 12pm. The food was good but very expensive. I was expecting more quality from the prices on the menu. The chips were frozen and had a false fluffy texture. The ribeye was good but £32 seemed a little steep for just good. My small fish and chips I ordered was very small, very good fish but very small. The pub itself is very nice and the decor very traditional. Probably wouldn't return.
