The pie here is the BEST! Not one of those pies in a pot with a lid, but a proper cut wedge, with a lovely shortcrust pastry and crimped egde, comes with a whole side dish of carvery veg. Its the only place where I'll warrant the calories on it 😂 excellent 🙌 Lovely airy dining room to eat in with a view over the river.

Great location on the estuary though we had to go inside as it was full outside on a busy Wednesday evening in August. Bit of a wait for food but we were warned and the chef wasn’t happy with the fish and chips so there was a slight extra delay but it shows the level of quality is probably high. There could be some more plant based options and I made a mistake in ordering the vegan nachos which was listed as a sharer and not really appropriate for one, at least that’s what my digestive system told me! Friendly efficient staff.
