This was the pub of my youth, and why it took me so long to work out why everyone makes cracks about Wetherspoons. The beer is good and cheap, the food is prefab but more-or-less edible, and the decor is fabulous, especially if you can get a table in the orangerie or the weather is nice enough for the garden.
