Shout out to Aidan (he offers the Joe Strummer walking tour-so cool!) he recommended this proper pub. An Irish pub where people watch sports and gather with friends over a pint. We got two beers for 12,£. When in London it's a must to grab a pint in an authentic English pub, can't go wrong with this one!

Friendly staff. Although they don't serve food they are happy for you to bring food in and eat it while you enjoy your drinks.

Surprised to read the comments here on racism and violence. Pub has a fair few East African, Caribbbean and Middle Eastern regulars, as well as Celts (I'm ethnically "Squelsh" but born here, as were both my parents) and English, and I've rarely witnessed any aggro here. Nina Simone, Phil Lynott (OK, he was Irish), John Lee Hooker, Prince, Bob Marley and Hendrix posters are on the wall, along with Irish and C&W musicians. We use it for football and occasionally music. Denis and his assistant Dave/Spud run the place well and the staff are efficient and friendly. I think music events are around ten a year: bands ranging from blues to rock, occasionally DJ's and karaoke. They try to cater for all sports fans but it's a small, one-room place and they're only able to have commentary from one event. Frequented by LFC, QPR, CFC, AFC, MUFC and Celtic fans, who mostly get on OK. First went there for a Chelsea ECL game when we were the underdogs and it was raining, and it was very quiet, but since the closure of many nearby pubs, it's grown more popular.
