The Aquincum Park-Museum holds the status of the largest archaeological zone in all of Hungary. It was opened to the public more than a hundred years ago, before which it was a fenced area where excavations were being conducted.

This open-air museum-park "reveals" the life and everyday activities of the ancient Roman city of Aquincum. Ancient dwellings and public buildings that hold tremendous historical value are still preserved here. The park features a museum where visitors can see the results of archaeological excavations in the form of coins, tools, and other items that have withstood the test of time.

Ein wunderbares Museum, in dem man Stunden verbringen kann! Alleine der Außenbereich ist riesig und bietet mit Infotafeln einen guten Überblick. Abgerundet wird das Ganze durch zwei Gebäude, die Museen enthalten und eine kleine Ausstellung über Mosaike. Es hat sich wirklich gelohnt anzureisen. Von der Budapester Innenstadt (Buda / Haltestelle 10 Minuten zu Fuß von der Kettenbrücke) ca. 15 Minuten mit dem Zug entfernt. Eintritt 3000 HUF (7,50€). Die bei Maps angegebenen 5500 HUF Eintritt sind der Preis für ein Kombiticket mit weiteren Museen.
