About

The Museum of Natural Sciences is part of the Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences and is considered the most visited venue of its kind in Brussels. The museum's collection is based on a history of deep research spanning more than 250 years, conducted by scientists not only in Belgium but also in other European countries.

Speaking in numbers, the museum's exhibit range includes 15 million various insects, 9 million protozoa and invertebrates, as well as 25,000 minerals and 511 meteorites. The Museum of Natural Sciences features a separate hall with iguanodon dinosaurs and other reptiles. Lunar rocks, ancient whale remains, and a vast exhibition dedicated to the step-by-step evolution of humans are also exceedingly popular among visitors.
