I’ll start by saying as someone who works in hospitality, I HATE leaving negative reviews. I actually don’t because I would rather feedback at the time (you can see by my reviews I always try to only post positive!). But in this instance and feeding back at the time with no proper resolution, I have to give a word of warning about the service of this place. Shisha - asked for recommendations as we frequently have shisha as have one at home and live in London close to many shisha spots. Was recommended a couple, asked for a mix of the premium flavours. 10 minutes later, the guy comes back to say they only had the first four flavours in that group of flavours, so we decided on a single flavour from the more expensive group which we were told were all available. Another 10 minutes pass and the shisha guy (the person making it) comes back saying it wasn’t available and could we choose something else. Opted for our trusty frozen raspberry and blueberry. It came and after trying it for a while, it didn’t taste like that, so we asked the first guy to try it which he did and he seemingly agreed it didn’t taste like it, so he took it away. Come back with the shisha saying we hadn’t started it properly and it’s all good now. I tried it, it was totally different and finally right. Drinks - asked for two mocktails and fresh mint tea. The mocktails were fine but wouldn’t recommend. Tea was definitely not fresh mint and once it cooled down, I check inside and it was a black tea of some sort. Food - after an hour or so, was feeling peckish so asked for a plate of mixed kebab and chips. Portion size was very generous and as I asked (no salad and only chilli sauce!) but we were given no cutlery. So asked for forks and condiments. After some time, maybe 10 mins again (appreciate this is a theme, but I am hazarding a guess here) and my food now getting cold, I ask a young lady also because the guy is nowhere to be seen. A few mins pass and my food is now considerably cold. I go and locate forks myself from tables downstairs whilst the young lady comes back with only condiments. No apologies - just a shrug from her. Kebab was decent but I couldn’t eat most of it because it was cold. Service - honestly, this is the part that pains me. It was so below average for the amount of tables that were taken. Almost every step of our journey was wrong and the attitude was very unapologetic. When we went to pay the bill, we again used the opportunity to feedback and the young man (who served us on and off throughout) apologised and after we asked for the £3 tea to be taken off as it was not fresh mint, he agreed. In the midst of all of this, the young lady reappears to ask what he was doing, starts to take over asking multiple times about the tea situation when the guy had it in hand. She completely undermined him as he was handling it. Her attitude was frankly horrendous towards us and it felt personal. So - would give it a big swerve if you’re considering going. Apologie...
