Genuine, honest pub with lovely people involved from top to bottom. Quirky, no frills style restaurant with a lovely French infused menu, catering to all. This is a pub where friendship, connection, community and good times are central values, rooted deep to its core. It is of great amusement that a select few can be reckless enough to very publicly vilify a venue and/or management, on the back of a singular bad experience. Clearly, Mr Clarke, the owners and staff are significantly more memorable to you, than you are to them. I will always vehemently support this lovely local pub, its staff and patrons. Long may it continue under the leadership of Vanessa, Madge and the team.

Back in England and Bathford since from a long time ago with relatives from London driving up. We really liked the Crown the last time we were here and went there for lunch. It was just as good as last time. Friendly staff, good food (we had different things incl. the Sunday roast and everyone was happy). The setting and atmosphere are lovely. The young lady doing waiting was a delight. Attentive without being intrusive (and we were a trial spending a long time before we even looked at the menus), knowledgeable, and engaging. Thank you Crown and staff!

We visited The Crown at dinner time to celebrate my mother's birthday. We met with a warm welcome from the friendly bar staff. Food was excellent, good selection of beers from Europe and the UK. The staff were very attentive and visited the table multiple times to see if we needed anything and to make sure we were topped up with drinks. Dogs are very welcome in the pub and we were even given a little cup of dog treats by the staff! We shall we be returning soon!
